NOTE: Trasylol Recall Alert: On November 5, 2007  the FDA requested Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corp to suspend the further sale or use of antibleeding drug called Trasylol, amid growing concerns and strong medical evidence that Trasylol may be linked to a higher risk of kidney and renal failures, heart attacks, stroke and death than other antibleeding drugs used during a cardiac bypass, heart catherization or other cardiac surgery or operations.

According to a Trasylol study by Dr. Mangano, over 22,000 cardiac patients could have been saved if Trasylol had been taken off the market in January 2006 when his Trasylol side effects study was first published. Dr. Dennis Mangano's study found that Trasylol increased the risk of Trayslol-related kidney failure, renal failure, kidney damage, Trasylol-related heart attacks, Trasylol-related strokes and death in heart bypass patients.Many Trasylol kidney failure and renal failure patients are now on kidney dialysis or on the kidney transplant list. See the Interview of Dr. Mangano on CBS News Show Report on 60 Minutes Concerning Trasylol.
